Q: What is the Hire Heroes USA program?

A: The Hire Heroes USA program was organized to provide career placement assistance for all veterans but specializing in helping veterans with any level of disability as determined by the VA find jobs and careers.  We place veterans from all branches of the military with employers nationwide as we are trying to create the opportunity for everyone who proudly served their country.

Q: Who does Hire Heroes USA help?

A: We help any veteran who desires our help but we certainly strive to assist the veterans with any level of disability as determined by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. We focus on connecting all veterans from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom but especially those veterans who have been injured or disabled serving their country with career opportunities across America. After applying for services, the veteran is contacted by an experienced recruiting representative who will discuss the veteran’s skills and geographic location preferences. Hire Heroes USA works to match the skills and interest of the veteran with the needs of participating companies nationwide.

Q: How does the Hire Heroes USA program work?

A: Hire Heroes USA reaches out to all veterans but certainly those who are currently involved in rehabilitation or who have completed rehab and are ready to take the next step toward a civilian career. We encourage all veterans to register but specifically those veterans  with any level of disability as determined by the VA to complete our online questionnaire.

Q: Why is there a need for a program such as Hire Heroes USA?

A: Approximately 1.5 million service members have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. While improvements in body armor and advances in medical technology are improving survival rates, estimates reveal that one in four of our young soldiers are returning home with service-connected disabilities. So we are assisting all veterans who seek our help in securing a career to re-enter the American workforce.

Q: How long does the process take from the time a veteran enters their information until they are matched with jobs in their geographical area?

A: The process will vary based on each individual veteran and the job/location they are seeking. On average, the process takes two to three weeks to submit interested candidates' resumes' to organizations, as long as there is an opportunity in the geographic area of the veteran. Hire Heroes USA account managers will assist the veteran every step of the way. From the time their information is entered into our Web site, to the day they get a job offer, we are here for them.
