Veteran Spotlight, Mr. Ryan BaerService Branch: USMC Received the following Military awards: Marine of the Quarter MCAS Miramar H&HS SQDN 2005 Biography: For 5 years, Ryan served in the United States Marine Corps as a leader in the Military Police K-9 specialization. His perseverance and tenacity were identified early on, leading to an advanced rate of promotion. For a period, Ryan served as the Chief Training Officer for the K-9 section, at which point he was directly responsible for the effectiveness of all parties involved in incidents such as: K-9 vehicle extractions, personnel searches, narcotic searches and bomb threats aboard the installation. While stationed in Japan, Ryan served as the Watch Commander for a platoon of Marines who were responsible for the security of the Air Station. He used regular meetings with junior marines to set and track goals and he encouraged them to give input in order to create a participative leadership climate. Transitioning from the military, Ryan has grown his military skill sets into relative business competencies. He is an organizational strategist focused on value creation and the cultivation of socially relative business concepts.
