Please review our needs below to see if we have a volunteer opportunity that suits your interests and experience.
The majority of our volunteers participate in remote opportunities – no need to show up to an office location. In addition, most of our opportunities are scheduled as needed, so there is no requirement to set aside a certain number of hours each week.
We need volunteers to help with:
- Mock Interviews
- Career Counseling / Job Search Guidance
- Federal Resumes and Applications
- Outreach to our Veterans and Spouses
- Transition Workshops (location dependent)
- 5k Race for Heroes (location dependent)
Professional experience in an industry or field is definitely a plus for most of our volunteer opportunities where you will be working directly with clients. However, there are always needs for support functions like fundraising, special events, social media, etc.
Additionally, Hire Heroes is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers with experience in a variety of fields, such as: graphic/website design, human resources, photography, public relations, and media training. Please feel free to contact Volunteer Program staff with your interest and abilities!
