Warrior Transition Workshops target service members and their spouses who are about to transition from the military into civilian life.

Hire Heroes USA successfully conducted 24 workshops for troops and spouses in 2012. In 2013, Hire Heroes USA conducted 74 workshops for 992 troops and spouses in partnership with the USO, ensuring long term sustainability and heightened visibility.

At the two-day workshops, service members:

▪ Identify post-military financial requirements and veteran benefits
▪ Develop a post-military strategic plan
▪ Write a resume that effectively conveys their previous experience and value proposition to potential employers
▪ Learn effective job search, job application, and job interviewing techniques
▪ Begin networking through personal and Hire Heroes USA sources

If you are veteran, service member, or spouse interested in attending a workshop, please contact Michael Welch at mwelch@uso.org.
