New York Times best-selling author, podcaster and retired Navy SEAL Jocko Willink is keynote speaker at national nonprofit’s inaugural fundraising gala in the Atlanta metro area.  

Hire Heroes USA’s American Patriots Gala takes place Friday, November 3, 2017, at The Metropolitan Club.

For those who aren’t already fans of Jocko, here’s some background:

jockoJocko is author of the bestselling book Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win. It details the mind-set and principles that enable SEAL units to accomplish the most difficult missions in combat and how they can be applied to any team, family or organization. He co-founded Echelon Front, where he is a leadership instructor, speaker, and executive coach. Many also know Jocko through his popular and entertaining JOCKO PODCAST. With a career in the U.S. military that spanned 20 years, he started as an enlisted SEAL and rose through the ranks to become a SEAL officer. As commander of SEAL Team Three’s Task Unit Bruiser during the battle of Ramadi, he orchestrated SEAL operations that helped the “Ready First” Brigade of the U.S. Army’s First Armored Division bring stability to the violent, war-torn city. Task Unit Bruiser became the most highly decorated Special Operations Unit of the Iraq War. Jocko returned from Iraq to serve as Officer-in-Charge of training for all West Coast SEAL Teams. There, he spearheaded the development of leadership training and personally instructing and mentoring the next generation of SEAL leaders. Jocko is also a recipient of both the Silver Star and Bronze Star medals.
