For the third year in a row, Ryder will assist us in helping veterans find new careers through an Unlimited Corporate Partnership. The veteran-friendly company has hired more than 1,000 former military men and women since 2011, increasing its veteran workforce to 10% of nearly 23,000 employees nationwide. Robert Sanchez, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ryder, highlighted Ryder’s veteran hiring initiative in a 2013 press release stating, “Attracting and developing the best talent in our industry is one of [our] strategic priorities, and hiring talented military veterans is an important part of this effort.”
Ryder has over 900 jobs available across the U.S. As part of our partnership, veterans that register for our services can access Ryder’s open positions through the Hire Heroes USA job board; they are then presented directly to recruiting professionals at Ryder.
We are excited to continue working closely with Ryder’s military recruitment program in 2014. Together, we can align military skills with job opportunities and confirm more veterans hired this year.
