Cresa’s generosity will help Hire Heroes USA continue its work to empower veterans, transitioning service members and their spouses by building the confidence and skills necessary to seek civilian employment through free, hands-on services that are tailored to the individual.
The majority of Hire Heroes USA’s work is completed virtually through online and telephone career coaching comprised of a three-phase process of assessment, training and mentorship that helps clients understand their transferable skills, learn effective job search techniques and create professionally-revised, business resumes. Additionally, Hire Heroes USA in partnership with the United Services Organization (USO) and Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) conducts Warrior Transition Workshops at more than thirty locations to assist transitioning military service members and their spouses. During the two-day workshops, participants develop a post-military strategic plan, create a resume that conveys experience and value to employers, learn how to conduct an effective job search and practice interview techniques.
Through personalized, one-on-one career coaching, Hire Heroes USA team members assist nearly 150 transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses each week. Over 80% of Hire Heroes USA transition specialists are veterans themselves and bring passion and commitment to their work. With the organization on track to exceed its goal of 1400 confirmed hires in 2014, Hire Heroes USA CEO and former Marine turned UFC Fighter Brian Stann credits this success to the passion and commitment of the Hire Heroes team.
