Hire Heroes USA and the JTMF Foundation Partner to Expand Veteran Support in Pacific Northwest
FEDERAL WAY, WA – Hire Heroes USA, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce, proudly announces its expanded presence in the Pacific Northwest with a new office in Federal Way, Washington.
This expansion is made possible through a three-year grant from the JTMF Foundation, which supports efforts to enhance veteran services across Washington and Oregon. The foundation aims to partner with organizations that address the physical and mental well-being of veterans during transition and beyond.
“The transition from military to civilian life can be a stressful and difficult time,” commented JTMF Trustee Tami Marick. “We owe it to the dedicated men and women who have served our country along with their spouses to help in this process.”
The Northwest Field Team has outlined three primary goals for their Pacific Northwest initiative:
- Empower veterans and military spouses through personalized career services tailored to the Washington and Oregon state job markets.
- Collaborate with like-minded employers, nonprofit organizations, and community groups in support of veterans and military spouses through employment opportunities.
- Build a local volunteer network of industry professionals who can mentor job seekers, and share expert insights.
“Successful veteran employment requires a community approach,” noted David Martinez, Community Affairs Manager. “We’re eager to collaborate with stakeholders across Washington and Oregon who understand the unique value that veterans and military spouses bring to the workforce.”
Hire Heroes USA offers comprehensive employment assistance free to veterans and military spouses, including resume building, interview preparation, and career coaching. The organization’s proven model has helped over 100,000 veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment nationwide.
“Our team is committed to ensuring that the 525,000 veterans and over 2 million military family members in Washington have access to our full range of free career services,” said Todd Griffith, Senior Program Manager. “Establishing a dedicated office allows us to better support those transitioning to civilian careers and empower military spouses seeking meaningful employment.”
The Federal Way office will serve as a hub for veteran and military spouse employment initiatives across Washington and Oregon. Corporations, organizations, and community leaders interested in partnering with Hire Heroes USA’s Pacific Northwest team can contact the Federal Way office to discuss collaboration opportunities.
