Hire Heroes USA Receives $500,000 from USAA To Assist Servicemembers, Veterans and Their Families Impacted by COVID-19 Pandemic
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Today as part of a historic commitment by USAA’s Military Family Relief Initiative, Hire Heroes USA will receive $500,000 to assist military and their families during these challenging economic times. The donation will allow the organization to further empower transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses as they search for their careers.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant and negative financial impact on military members and their families. According to research from the COVID-19 Military Support Initiative, 25 percent of active military families have been separated from their service member due to deployment or pandemic supporting activations. Thirty percent of military spouses are expected to experience unemployment, nearly four times the level of their civilian peers.
