Alpharetta, GA. September 15, 2015 – On a mission to support NCR’s interest in building stronger communities by helping men and women in the U.S. armed forces bridge the gap from the military into the civilian workforce, the NCR Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Hire Heroes USA. As a national nonprofit organization, Hire Heroes USA empowers U.S. military members, veterans and spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.

Hire Heroes USA delivers personalized career-coaching services both virtually and through Transition Workshops at military installations nationwide. Recognized as a best-in-class model by the USO, Call of Duty Endowment, and George W. Bush Institute, Hire Heroes USA currently averages over 60 veterans confirmed hired each week at a 45% conversion rate from “helped” to “hired.” The NCR Foundation’s generous donation has contributed to Hire Heroes USA’s success in helping more than 3,000 transitioning military members, veterans and spouses gain employment in 2015.

“As a nonprofit organization, we depend on the support of our corporate partners and donors to allow us to continue to serve deserving veterans”, says Brian Stann, President and CEO of Hire Heroes USA. “Partners such as the NCR Foundation are vital to the success of our mission.”

The NCR Foundation’s support will continue to increase Hire Heroes USA’s operational capacity and ability to provide resources to transitioning service members, veterans and spouses who often face barriers to civilian employment. In an effort to further support veteran hiring, NCR Corporation has become an Employment Partner of Hire Heroes USA. Acknowledging the value that military veterans bring to organizations who employ them, NCR Corporation is actively seeking to hire veterans by posting their employment opportunities on the Hire Heroes USA Job Board.
