September 11th First Pitch

Hire Heroes USA was honored to take the field to throw out a ceremonial pitch on Friday, September 11th, 2009 at Busch Stadium for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Atlanta Braves game. We were thrilled to have two current HHUSA candidates, Walt Cornish and Bryan Cannon in attendance.

Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Myles Hunt was given the honor of throwing out the first pitch. Myles was severely injured when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle in 2003. Recognized for his bravery and honor to our country and his fellow comrades, Myles was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and a Purple Heart Medal, in addition to several other prestigious and honorable awards.

Also joining Hire Heroes USA were representatives from Monsanto and Waste Management, who utilized this as an opportunity to get to know some of the men and women who are candidates of Hire Heroes USA. Also in attendance were Bob and Abby Zaitz our largest donors in the St. Louis area.

Hire Heroes USA was honored to have all of these men and women in attendance and thanks each of them for their support of our Nation.
