Hire Heroes USA Announces New Chief Executive Officer 

Hire Heroes USA welcomes Marine Corps Veteran Andrew Sandoe 

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (Oct. 12, 2020) – Veteran Nonprofit organization Hire Heroes USA is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Andrew Sandoe as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sandoe, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, will assume responsibility as CEO effective Oct. 12, 2020.

Andrew began his career with Morgan Stanley in the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York.  The terrorist attack on the twin towers led him to seek ways to serve his country and he pivoted to a career of service as a Marine Corps pilot. After joining the Marines, he deployed twice to Iraq, serving both in the cockpit and at the headquarters in Baghdad as the advisor to the Director of Military Operations for the nation of Iraq.

Andrew completed his military service in 2012 and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MBA program as a Pat Tillman Scholar.  During this time, he did novel research on quantitative investment tools used in public and private investment research and human behavior.  Post MBA, Andrew taught in the Entrepreneurship Group at Harvard Business School and launched a quantitatively driven long/short hedge fund. Andrew continues to lecture at Harvard, now teaching business analysis and valuation. Andrew and his wife Robin are proud parents to three children. Andrew looks forward to helping military families, particularly as our nation confronts this moment of unique economic uncertainty.

Ross Dickman, who has served as Interim CEO since February 2020, will assume responsibility as the Chief Operating Officer of Hire Heroes USA.

Throughout this year, the Hire Heroes USA staff and mission-critical funders have continued to produce exceptional results for military families. As the unemployment rate for veterans rose to levels not seen since 2010 and military spouse unemployment nearly tripled, our team has confirmed nearly 8,600 veterans hired with an average starting salary over $61,000 for military members. Each dollar invested in the mission of Hire Heroes USA this year has achieved 75 times its impact, and with Andrew leading our team, we are excited to deliver even stronger results for veterans and military families.
