HCC’s Accounting Apprenticeship Program offers a well-rounded approach to professional growth, combining academic instruction with hands-on experience and industry collaboration. This 12–18 month earn while you learn program provides apprentices with a strong academic foundation, essential business and technical skills, and practical workplace experience. Apprentices will be prepared for entry-level roles in accounting firms or accounting departments within local organizations.

As an Accounting Specialist, responsibilities include managing financial transactions, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Apprentices also support audits, maintain records, and collaborate with departments to ensure accuracy. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accounting knowledge are key to success in this role.
