Workshops for Warriors (wfw.org) provides veterans and active duty transitioning service members with accelerated training, certifications, and job placement assistance in welding, CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming, 3-D printing and more. Since 2012, WFW’s more than 1,100 graduates have earned over 12,200 nationally-recognized certifications and are working in every state in the nation. WFW students are provided opportunities for career training and to meet one-on-one with potential employers during their 16-week programs which are offered three times per year. Average starting salary in advanced manufacturing careers for WFW graduates is $60,000 per year. Scholarships and stipends are available for eligible students.
