Transitioning out of the military is more than a change in uniform—it’s a new mission. David Short first connected with Hire Heroes USA during a TAPS briefing as he prepared to retire. When his résumé slowed his search, he turned to our team for personalized one-on-one support. Translating years of service into clear civilian language, he was able to secure a new role. With a strong desire to keep serving, he decided to return to Hire Heroes USA as a volunteer.
Because he’s navigated transition himself, David brings real-world tactics to every conversation. He shares what worked, what didn’t, and the smart pivots that keep a search on track.
