The Manufacturing Readiness Badge Program helps transitioning service members and veterans translate their military experience into industry-recognized digital skill badges that signal job readiness and in manufacturing and supply chain careers.
Developed in partnership with Map My Future and endorsed by the Manufacturing Institute, these badges validate foundational competencies in safety, quality, maintenance, logistics, and leadership. Each badge is aligned to more than 300 enlisted military occupation codes (and over 900 for the Leadership Series) across all five military branches, ensuring your skills acquired through military experience and training are accurately recognized and easily understood by civilian employers.

How It Works
Map My Future’s Skills Identification Tool extracts relevant skills directly from your military training record and matches them to badge criteria—making it easy to showcase your capabilities and share your credentials with employers.
Currently, the program is available to enlisted personnel whose military experience aligns with badge requirements.
How to Get Started
Step 1: Create an account at mapmyfuture.com

Step 2: Upload your military training records.
Supported documents include:
- Joint Services Transcript (JST)
- Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET)
- Unofficial Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript
- Single Unit Retrieval Format (SURF)
- Coast Guard Employee Summary Sheet (ESS)
Map My Future provides instructions on where to find and how to download your military training records
Step 3: After your records are uploaded, select “View & Share Badges” on the My Record page to view earned badges and share them to a digital wallet or create a SmartResume.
